Chart of Accounts

The Chart of Accounts page displays all accounting accounts for your company. You can filter by category, search for an account, change an account label (custom override) and create new accounts (depending on your permissions).

  • Account table: number, label, category (A, L, Q, I, E) and status.
  • Search: quick filter by number or label.
  • Category filter: All, Assets (A), Liabilities (L), Expenses (Q), Revenue (I), Equity (E).
  • Custom label: click an account to edit its label via the “Override label” dialog.
  • Add account: button to create a new account (visible if you have edit rights).
  • Auxiliary accounts: direct link in the page header.
  1. Go to /accounting/chart-of-accounts.
  2. Use the search bar or category filter to find the desired account.
  3. Review the account number (accno), label and category.
  1. Click the account row in the table.
  2. In the dialog, update the Custom label field.
  3. Click Save. An “Overridden” badge appears on the row.
  1. Click Add account in the header (if allowed).
  2. Fill in the number, label, category, normal balance (D/C) and check “Reconciliable” if needed.
  3. Save to add the account to the chart.
  • Categories follow the Moroccan accounting chart structure (A = Assets, L = Liabilities, Q = Expenses, I = Revenue, E = Equity).
  • A “Custom” badge means a manually created account; “Overridden” means a modified label.
  • Inactive accounts show a grey “Inactive” badge.
  • “Add account” button missing: your user role does not include chart edit permissions.
  • Cannot edit label: ensure you clicked directly on the account row and the dialog is open.
  • Table is empty: no accounts match the current filter; reset the filter or search.
