Step-by-Step Tasks
Section titled “Step-by-Step Tasks”Create a Custom Journal
Section titled “Create a Custom Journal”- Click Add journal.
- Fill in the code (e.g.,
JV) and label. - Select the type from the dropdown.
- Choose the default account using the picker.
- Click Save.
Edit a Custom Journal
Section titled “Edit a Custom Journal”- Click the journal row in the table.
- Change the desired fields.
- Click Save.
Rename a Shared Journal
Section titled “Rename a Shared Journal”- Click the row of a shared journal (for example
VT). - Change the label (the only editable field).
- Click Save.
The new label applies to this dossier only. The code and the type do not change, so automatic entries keep working. A Mossanid import uses this mechanism: VT gets, for example, the label “VENTE”.
Delete a Custom Journal
Section titled “Delete a Custom Journal”- Open the journal by clicking its row.
- Click the Delete button.
- Confirm in the browser dialog.
- Shared journals (grey badge) cannot be deleted, and only their label can be renamed — they are required by the accounting system.
- The bank and cash journals imported from Mossanid (BQ1, CA…) are custom journals.
- The default account makes it easier to enter future entries in this journal.
- Use the search to quickly find a journal when the list is long.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Add button missing: your role does not have edit rights (
canEdit). Contact the administrator. - Cannot change the code or type of a journal: only custom journals are fully editable. A shared journal accepts only a new label.
- Save error: an error message appears via notifications. Ensure the code is unique and the default account exists.
