Accounting settings
This page sets how opening balances are calculated and how accounts are checked in each journal. It also shows the Mossanid import history of the dossier (for the accountant).
Opening-balance method
Section titled “Opening-balance method”- By balance: one line per balance-sheet account. This is the default.
- Detailed: the unlettered entries of lettering-enabled accounts (classes 1 to 5) are carried forward one by one. The mode set on an account has priority.
The opening balances of a fiscal year imported from Mossanid are frozen: they are carried over as they were and are never recalculated. This setting applies to the years created afterwards.
Journal/account range check
Section titled “Journal/account range check”This setting checks that an account is entered in an allowed journal.
- None: no check. This is the default.
- Warn: the entry is saved, then a message lists the accounts outside the range. You can continue.
- Block: a manual entry with an account outside the range is refused. Automatic and imported entries are not blocked.
A Mossanid import sets this check to Warn.
